In cooperation with Dr. Paola Farinetti, chairman of the Culture Committee in the

town of Alba.

It will be a temporary archaeological exhibition, showed for the first time in Alba and enhanced by

a strong photo set, that takes, as a main focus, the ancient Egyptian culture, the vine cultivation,

the wine production and the refined use in the society as well as in the afterlife: an unusual and

fascinating subject.

The D.O.C.G. of the Pharaos do create a very interesting journey to discover one of the most

intriguing civilization of the history with its wine and food customs.

The archaeological findings will be borrowed from important Italian museums. Further highlights

to the exhibition are the catalogue in English and Italian language, teaching workshop for the

schools, web site, guides speaking French, English, German and Italian, of course.

A patronage is going to be asked to the Department of Cultural Property and Activity, the

Agricultural Politics, the Environment and Forest and the Education and Science, as well as to the

Cabinet Council President, to the Piedmont Region and the Cuneo Province. A special request

will be submitted for the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.

The show organisation is held by Sabina Malgora, archaeologist, Egyptologist, wide experience

in exhibitions, museums setting and cultural events, who will also count on an high rank scientific

Committee.

Among the supporters there are the Alba Council, the CRT Foundation, the ATL, the Langhe and

Roero Syndicate and a sponsors group.

This event will be covered by the local, national and international press, by reviews and

magazines of culture, archaeology, history, wine and food, travels. The side activities concern

occasional evening visits, wine and food tasting events, lectures, poetry, ballets and concerts.

Moreover people will find interesting proposals to visit the town, its territory and Piedmont.

All this is a nice occasion for promoting the country, the Piedmont Region and the exhibition

supporters.
